Is it leaking from the weep hole or is it from where the pump mounts (bad gasket)?

That is correct.
If you are leaking from the weep hole (which is a small hole, can't miss it.) look carefully.
Because you are leaking form the weep hole, you will need a new water pump.
I went thru 2 used water pump and both of them were leaking from the weep hole.
I got a new water pump from autozone with lifetime on the water pump and it's now working fine.
Remember when replaceing a water pump you will also need a new water pump gasket and get yourself a seal with it to. I hope this will help because I do have experience with water pump leakage.
