FORD EXPLORER TIRE PROBLEM

2000 Ford Explorer • 80,400 miles

I recently had the rack and pinion replaced on my explorer and the entire front end suspension, plus new tires, brakes and the sway bar. Today, I had to have it towed and it ended up being only a dead battery. After I got the truck back, there is an awful vibration in the front end, mostly when I turn left. I contacted my mechanic and he said that there is air in the power steering line and will work itself out. Does this sound correct? If so, how long will this take to work it out? I'm afraid that the tow truck guy bent something under my truck.
