2000 Ford Contour Repair Question

Ford Contour Coolant Problem
Have replace the thermonstat but heater will not work. Temperature gauage raise very little. It is though the only heat that I'm getting is from the heat of the engine. What is the location of the hose that goes to the heat core and can I flush the core.

check coolant level first if low have system pressure checked for leaks.check to see if door in pic is getting vacuum then check for a vacuum leak starting at motor.
