I need some advice on a fuel injector problem

I had been out a couple of times one day and the last time I went to run an errand my engine light came on. I read the code which was P0203. I have replaced the fuel injector, the pig tail, new spark plugs, checked the coils and I get the same code after clearing the code. Which either leads to the wiring or the computer. Both of which mean big bucks on my very limited income. A mechanic suggested that I find which injectors fired at the same time and piggy back the non firing injector to the good injector. So my question is. Which injector fires with the #3 injector? Any help you can give me is deeply appreciated. Thanks

The injectors for this system does not fire at the same tieme as they are individually controlled. However you can still piggyback eventhough system is thus, it just allow the injector to fire earlier and and make the engine run smoother but the MIL is not going to go off.

The computer could be expensive but if it is a wiring fault, it should not be. Locating a break in wiring between two points isn't that difficult to resolve.

Firing order is 1-4-3-6-2-5 so if you want to piggyback, connect it to #4.

Have you tested the wiring for cylinder # 3 for battery voltage and continuiyt between injector and PCM?

No, I haven't. I'm not good at electrical stuff. We are just backyard mechanics lol but we swapped coils and we know that the coils are good

We also tested the new injector by connecting it to a battery source and got a spray out of it

At the injector there are two wires. The Dark Green/Light Green wire must have battery voltage when ignition swith is turned on.

The other is a Yellow/White wire which is connected to the PCM, C1 harness connector terminal # 7.

Disconnect the harness connector and probe the terminal with one end of the multitester (set to ohms)and probe the other to the fuel injector Yellow/White, if you have continuity, the problem lies with the PCM.

So far the test for the wiring would be the first thing you need to do to confirm that this is not a bad wiring problem.

Going to test it this weekend. Have to get an ohm's meter first. Hopefully it's in the wiring and I can just run new wire to the injector. If it's not the wiring then I am going to piggy back it until I can afford a new pcm or go to a junk yard and get one. Then i'll have to have it programmed.

Well, there is continuity. So now it's up to me to find someone that programs pcm's. I picked up a couple out of 2 wrecked intrepids.
