I have a 2000 Chrysler concorde when I'm driving down the road, out of no where the car shuts off, if you're on the freeway giving it steady gas it starts up again by itself. In the city I have to put it in neutral to restart it. What could be the problem?

The most common causes are the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor. Normally the Engine Computer will detect it, set a related diagnostic fault code in memory and turn on the Check Engine light. Even if the light is not turning on, many auto parts stores will read the codes for you for free. That will get you into the right circuit.
