I have a 2000 chevy venture. I new it needed a sensor and it was causing the van to gerk at times or not seem to want to move after a stop but only lasted a second. But it began to shimmy and had a smell comming out of the muffler. Yesturday as I was driving home it didn't want to stay at the speed and when I would press on the gas would just rev. About two miles from my home I had to turn and after that it wouldn't speed up at all and the smell was bad. I pulled over and turned the van off. I tried it a couple minuets later and it started fine but wouldn't move at all. Could that be from the sensor? All I know is the sensor is located about under the drivers seat area of the van.
