We have narrowed down the problem to the tps sensor switch. Its sluggish, skipping, backfiring and just doesn't have any get up and go. It will idle extremely high but wont go anywhere. I was reading that this switch style can he adjusted. I was wanting to verify this is correct and see if you could give anything advice. Its a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe z-71 5.4L 4x4 v8

Tps is not adjustable, check for a sticky throttle plate, cables and binding. Clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and iac hole. Then scan for codes to make sure the tps is actually the problem.
