Where is the iac valve located in my 2000 chevy suburban 1500 5.3L vortec engine?

If the system is electronic throttle(no cable), it has no IAC valve. It is usually located in the throttle housing if there is one, it has a four wire connector attached to it.

Where is the IAC? The truck has run rich since I got it. How is that reset? It idled great at 600 rpm until this issue.

The IAC is located on the drivers’ side of the throttle assembly (center of the intake manifold).
Remove the air cleaner assembly (the part which connects to the throttle assembly). There are two electrical connections on the drivers’ side. The first one is the Throttle Position Sensor (usually made of plastic †usually black). The second one is the Idle Air Control solenoid- IAC (usually a metal body and is held on by two small screws). Be sure to use the correct sized torx drive to remove the screws, because if they get stripped they can be tough to remove.
Clean the IAC with carb/throttle cleaner. Also clean its bore (use a rag or soft bristle brush if necessary).
The computer can only be reset using a scan tool.
