Had a puddle of coolant under the car passenger side. I opened the hood and found that the fan had blown coolant all over the battery, coil pack, water pump, what could have caused this to happen? I had to pull over every couple of blocks going home because the temp gauge was all the way in the red zone.

Was the coolant reservoir filling up? If so, I'd have to check thermostat--water pump--head gasket, something of that nature.

If just a leak, then check your hoses, radiator hoses--heater hoses--coolant reservoir-- maybe engine gaskets. Go from there.

Wipe the engine compartment dry, make sure coolant is full, start it up, see if you can find the leak?
