We just got the car a little over a month ago. A few weeks ago the av stopped blowing cold air and smells weird if we turn ac on. A few days ago every time we would start the car it sounded like it was not going to start and then it would start by the 2nd or 3rd try. Then last night we were driving and the lights all went dim almost off and the E break light turned on and now it won't start at all.

It sounds like you have a dead battery. Now, that could be the result of an old battery or a bad alternator. First, disconnect the battery and remove it. If you have a charger, recharge it. If not, take it to a parts store and have them do it for you. Once it's recharged, have the store load test the battery for you. If it passes, suspect the alternator. Here are the directions to check the alt once the battery is charged and you are able to start it again.
