Chevy won't start
2000 Chevy Astro 150,000 miles. The van won't start after it rains. It will turn over but not fire and battery dies really fast. Newer battery, replaced plugs & wires, coil, altenator, and probably a few more parts I am leaving out.

When the problem occurs, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs, anything. Check the cap and rotor where applicable, are they dry inside?

Same thing, do the basic tests, when the problem is ongoing. Spark--fuel--compression.

I went to a dealer and bought gm distributor & rotor and changed it. I read on another post on here where the engine is high voltage and sometimes stuff from the auto parts stores don't hold up. It has rained all weekend here and the van has been firing right up. Thanks!

Good job. It's best to go with oem parts, can be pricey, sometimes.
