Shuddering
I have a mk 4 golf auto 1.6 and yesterday it started shuddering on idle and when driving. any ideas?

Such information are insufficient for us to understand what is wrong.
Is the MIL indicating?
DId you check the spark plugs? Are the engine mounts good?
Do you have loss of power/performance?

We do need more info, is the vibration engine related or more body vibration, as KHlow says check for codes and check tune items first.
