Subs

1999 TOYOTA 4RUNNER

I have a 1999 toyota forrunner and i would like to put two 12" 1200 Watt subs in it, im afrade that my car can not currently handle the subs output, lettalone kill the battery. what will make this work, or will it work as is?

that really depends on brand of subs, most cheaper subs are not true watts. even if it is true 1200 watts, if you have a v6 and a good alternator you will be fine. you can always upgrade alternator to stronger one but i really don't think that is necessary. also if you dont have a very large and high end amplifier, the subs are not going to be pushed to peak performance anyway..
