I'm having a 4wd problem,it won't engage,working fine one day and not the next.The light in the dash won't turn on but I can hear a relay go on on the passenger side wall.Can this be a solenoid or wire.

this could be the actuator motor on the transfer case unplug on motor and plug back in to see if just a bad connection.
