1999 subaru outback with code P0301- cylinder 1 misfire- what does this mean? Car runs okay. Is it okay to let this go, or what is the fix? Check engine light stays on. Thanks

This code means that the number 1 cylinder is not firing properly, and it is misfiring. So, it may feel like the engine is running properly but unfortunately it is not.

So, to figure out what is going on with this cylinder you will need to check the spark plug and find out what it looks like. This will help tell us what the cause is.
