Engine can't be switched off
Hi there, I hope someone can help! Have just returned home in my 1999 Seat Toledo 1.9TDI and to my amassment my ignition can't be switched of by the ignition key, I had to stall the engine to stop and now the key will not start the engine. The entire ignition lights remain on even without the key in the ignition?? Has the car been cursed or could it be an ignition switch/barrel fault? Steve

Sounds more like the ignition switch went southbound-have it checked out-
