I called the dealership near me and they proceeded to tell me that I do have keyless entry on my car. I Googled it and found out how to re-program the keyless entry. When I bought this vehicle you can tell it had been hit. But in the repairs the disconnected the horn, Back Driver side door, driver side fog light and apparently the keyless entry. Where can I look to find if wires have been cut? I looked under the hood and everything looks entact. Fuses are all in place and working? Would my next step be to see if there actually is an RKE under/beside the backseat?

I would hook up the horn and the door those are part of the alarm/keyless entry system. Do you have a remote that will work with that car?As far as the wires go they could be cut pr disconnected anywhere. The rke module remote keyless entry module is behind the right rear bolster molding closest to the door next to the seat that folds down. If you can fix the horn and door wires we can do some tests help see how its working. Atleast the horn would greatly help to see if the module is working.

I need to get a new remote. The one I have was for my Mitsubishi I just got rid of and I think this particular one is Car specific. Not Sure. Hopefully I can just pick up a generic one at Auto Zone to save on cost. I did however double check last night and I do have the RKE in the car right where the video/you said. So its there. On the back drivers side door I also figured out by listening that the lock is working but from what I can tell the rod is not attached. Going to take the panel off this evening and see what I can tell. Oh and I don't have a multi meter. But I think I know what it is. Small device that lights up and tells you if it's hot or not? If you can include a pic cause I think they are fairly inexpensive.

I dont think auto zone sells them ebay has them its best to match the number off the original remote the car came with.I have a 1999 saturn sl2 and i am going to be ordering a remote from ebay.I will get you the item number there around 30.00.Also your door locks work with the door lock switch aside from the one with the door lock rod issue?Heres our link on how to use a multi meter and it shows a picture of one.

Lets start by fixing the horn then we can test the remote keyless entry module. Have you checked the horn fuse yet to make sure you have power to both sides of it?Also make sure there is no damage to the connector or wires going to the horn?

.I know where both fuse boxes are so I'll see if I can get that done when I get home. The connector to the horn looked good when I checked it out a few weeks ago but I'll double check it while I'm checking the fuse under the hood.

Hello. So I did check the horn connection, it has power. The RKE module has power to it. What is my next move? Should I check the horn connection in the steering wheel? From the video it looks fairly simple to do so as long as you take out the airbag fuse. Let me know

At the horn connector pin c should be a constant ground and pin B should have ground when pressing the horn?

Yeah The connector is all good. But I was curious. Do you happen to have a diagram of the serpentine belt. It came off this morning. Still there but very loose. Going to get a new one at lunch but need something so I can see how it fits on there.I'm going to try to google it

The belt diagram is on tge emissions sticker under the hood above the radiator. As far as your belt being loose sounds like your belt tensioner went bad. So all the wires are doing what I said they should do?If so you have a bad horn just make sure non of the terminals look open.
