I am getting a screeching sound from the right front area of my 1999 Saturn SL1. Just the other day I had to replace my belt tensioner because it had broken and was bent sideways. After I replaced it, everything was working just fine until yesterday. The pulley(s) is making a loud screeching every time I "gun" the engine at idle or drive anywhere. I tried to narrow down the problem by spraying some WD-40 on a couple of pulleys and see if I could narrow down the problem. I sprayed the idler and the noise immediately stopped. I have now completely replaced the idler, but the noise is still there. Please advise.

If you remove the belt, can you turn each pulley without resistance?
