1999 Porsche 996 Repair Question

996 carbon trim
I have purchased solid carbon trim and wonder if their is a way of replacing the thin dash trim 3 pieces that run below the steering wheel horizontaly, without removing the dash. I have heard that the old trim fasteners can be drilled out?????
