1999 sunfier not starting

I have a 1999 Pontiac sunfire gt 2.4 that will "sometimes" not start?
This happens every once in a while and it is hard to figure out what is wrong because sometimes it will start and other times it wont. I have put in a new starter and replaced the battery but neither have helped. When I turn the key over all the lights go out and everything and it does absolutely nothing.

If you turn the key and everything goes dead, you are dealing with an electrical issue. The most common one is a bad connection to the battery. Are the battery terminals clean, tight, and in good condition? Have you checked to make sure the ground wire to the engine block is clean and tight?
