I have pried the boot up just enough to get the clamp bolt out of the intermediate steering shaft of my '99 Pontiac Montana while in the midst of a transmission change, about 2.5 inches. On the reinstall, I need to get the boot up to 5 or 6 inches to reengage the clamp. What's the trick to raising this boot?
