How do I calibrate

How do I calibrate. The front wiper transmission? I replaced the wiper motor, after the wipers stopped in mid wipe. Never to come on again, without sounding like the motor was struggling. I then found it was not the motor, since the wipers did the same thing after installing it. I ordered and installed a new wiper transmission, which fixed the original problem, but the wipers go up slightly, then slam down past the parked position. I have taken the wiper arms off, repositioned the transmission arms, only to have the wipers get tangled with each other on the way up, then slam down to the parked position. Is there a specific position the transmission CAM needs to be in to calibrate the wipers?

It is a test of patience for this.

Set the wiper trans to the down or park position, then make sure the wiper motor is in park position before installing. Put the linkage on the motor and try. You will have to make soime adjustments after this initial set up.

What happened to the instructions in the box for the wiper motor?

No instruction came with either the wiper motor or the linkage.
So if I'm understanding this right, I install the motor, turn the wiper switch on then off to make sure tge motor is in the parked position. Then install the linkage with the linkage cam in the down position, put the wipers on and adjust from there?
What is the down position for the linkage? At the center point of the arms theres a pivoting cam attaching to the motor. Should the linkage be below the center point, above, to the left or right? Thats what I'm struggling with now.
I really appreciate your help an quick answer. Thank you very much. :-)
