The heater in my car does not heat up like it should

My 1999 Plymouth breeze has no heat, I changed the thermostat and made sure that it is full of anti-freeze but it barely warms up according to the temp gauge

Could be a clogged heater core, air in the system or a bad head gasket.

The cable operating the blend door could also be an issue.

Thank you for your reply, could you tell me how I would know if I have a bad head gasket?I am purchasing this car from Superior auto I bought it as is, I am really concerned about the money I will have to put in it, But I needed a car desperately. Any tips on how I can tell if I have a bad head gasket?Thank you.

A shop can inject air into the cylinders and see if there is any leakage into the cooling system. 1 hour in labor.
