Starting Problems
Hi I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Pajero io. The jeep was running but I had it packed for about 6 months now it doesn't want to start. I killed two batteries trying to get it to start,it sounds as if it's going to start but doesn't. Please help

Check the fuel pressure. Prolonged parking can kill fuelpumps.
Try some starting fluid.

Did you get this sorted? Ours was parked up for about 10 days, was quite sluggish on start since then (winding but not kicking in) with a big puff of black smoke when it does eventually start. Then today it wouldnt start at all - would wind over but not start! Managed to jump start it and now is blowing smoke on idle - has done 240000km and battery is almost 3 years old? Battery need replacing or something more???

Since you need a jump start, the battery should be tested. Start with this and see how it goes.
