Howling noise
Where do you think the howling noise comes from on my mitsubishi suv, it only does it when it gets hot and the sound goes up and down with the engine revs, its an auto trans.If i shut the engine off for 10 to 15 minutes and restart the noise has gone.

check your air intake parts for deformation/leaks when hot plastic/rubber parts can make strange noises when deformed just right. like a suction air leak.
