Mitsubishi Eclipse Backfire Problem
Changed headgasket 2.0 l DOHC 1999 , timing marks are on the money, CAM MARKS ARE FACING EACH OTHER AND LINE UP EXACTLY,, NUMBER ONE CYLINDER TOP DEAD CENTER, changed camsensor, new batterry, car will not start it backfires through the carb. What could it be?

What about the crankshaft gear is it properly aligned too at TDC compression stroke on no.1 cylinder
