1999 Mercedes Benz E200 Repair Question

Knock sensor
Hi,
on a 1999 mercedes e200, 2.0 L gasoline engine,
I got a knock sensor code. The KS has no resistance between its two terminals (reads open). Also no resistance from any of its terminals to ground or KS body, But the KS produces voltage whwn tapping on it. Wiring from KS to ecu is ok.
Is my KS good or should it have resistance? I read that the KS should have 3.3 to 4.5 k ohm from one terminal to ground.
