Bearing noise in engine compartment
My 1999 C280 is making a noises in the front end of the engine as if a bearing is ready ready give. How can I tell where the noise is coming from and and if it is a bearing, is it a minor or major repair?

remove the serpent belt and spin the pulleys by hand, they should spin freely, no binding or roughness. The ps and water pumps wont spin.
