How do I fix my gear Lever

It is very loose, there is a lot of play in it in all directions.

You will have to stat by removing the cover around the gear lever and check for any worn components in the gear stick quadrant, with out actually seeing this first hand it is a bit hard to say exactly wher the problem lies, but I would be looking here first.

I assume that you're vehicle has an automatic transmission. If the whole gear lever assembly is loose, remove the trim panel around the console and locate the bolts that attach it to the floor. You should be able to snug them back down.
