Warning light
Kia 1999 engine light and brake light came on, weakly. Reving the engine made the light go away, so I am thinking it is the alternator? The battery is on the charger right now, I checked the charge beforehand and it had 12, not 13, seemed like not a full charge. Car starts runs, just worried it won't start out some where away from home

Have the charging voltage checked. When engine is running, attach a DVOM across the battery terminals and if reading is not between 13.5 to 14.5 volts, the charging system is faulty.
You have to get it resolved asap if not you would defintely be stranded sooner or later.
