While driving, my 99 jeep gc will stall but not to the point where the engine shuts down somtimes if I pump the gas pedal it will recover other times it will come to a complete stall when I pull over. Somtimes it will start right up again other times it will take several minutes to restart. About 6 months ago I replaced the fuel filter bought at auto zone for 30 dollars the same fuel filter at chrysler cost 97 dollars is there a diference in the 2 filters?

Check your fuel pressure it should be 44 psi minimum and hold 30 psi for 5 minutes with engine shut off. If not it may be a fuel pump problem.

There shouldn't be unless it's sometype of chinese built one as they leave some stuff out that the oem doesn't. Most of the aftermarket people make the stuff for Oem anyhow.
