Honda Civic Smog Problem
Hi CarPro Staff,
THANKS for providing this online service. That is really GREAT of you.
On 2/28, 1999 Honda Civic HX (2Dr, 1.6L, Automatic) did NOT pass Smog Test:
Overall Result-->Functional Check: FAIL
OBD System Check--FAIL
Message: "This Vehicle failed the OBD system check because the Malfunction Indicator light was on, or it was not working."
OBD Fault Codes:
P1706 & P1885-->Manufacturer specific code.
I googled the OBD codes and the indication was, "Automatic Transaxle Concerns" for both. The Smog Test station person who ran the test could not answer or provide direction.
Would you please help. I am VERY GRATEFUL! Thank you again!
