Hi, my Jackaroo simply cuts out when driving (for about 2 years now). If you leave it for ten minutes, it usually restarts, but is getting worse. The entire vehicle shuts off, so it can get pretty dangerous if your taking a corner, overtaking etc. Any ideas? Is it the fuel pump? Had the injectors cleaned recently and made no difference whatsoever. Just had a major service done as well, but nothing changed. Have heard it may be the idle air control solenoid, or the airflow meter.

Hello,

It sounds like you might have an issue with the crankshaft position sensor.
Over time with heat and vibration of the engine the crank sensor can lose its calibration. And it can send incorrect signal to the ECM.
When the ECM receives wrong signal it can shut down the engine.
A failing crank sensor may or may not trigger the check engine light.
The crank position sensor is located on the lower part of the engine next to the crank pulley.
