Hello my friend has a 1999 gmc 3500 diesel truck and the check engine light turned on so I checked it with a code reader and it showed code # 1810 manufacture controlled transmission. Can someone tell me what that means.

This code has to do with the transmission fluid pressure (TFP) sensor circuit.
Could be caused by a bad sensor or may be due to a lack of transmission fluid

The fluid pressure sensor/switch -Its contained within the transmission valve body
