1999 GMC Sierra Repair Question

GMC Sierra Engine Problem
Installed New Oil Pump and dash light say "Check Engine Oil Pressure". Then installed oil pressure sending unit and the problem continue with the light. There is a small knock in the engine and do not want to continuing starting engine. Can you help.

most likely a bad bearing, either main or rod from bad pressure.
have the pressure checked manually to verify.
