Will I have to replace the whole heater/defroster fan

My fan works find when it's on a level plain. Once I hit a bump or turn a corner, it grinds really loud and I have to shut it off to stop it. It will run longer if it's on very low, but at high speed it almost always makes the noise and tries to bind. Would this be the bearing in the fan or something that I can replace, or will I end up having to replace the whole unit?

It's the bearings in the blower. You can get the whole unit for $30 buck at autozone. I just checked for you. They sell several different brands and the price rand is $30 to $100.
