mechanic raised idle rpm to 1100 - 1200 rpm on my 99 taurus. how do I lower it back down to about 800 rpm

Try adjusting the throttle stop screw on the throttle body-The mechanic shouldn't have adjusted it-its none adjustable-its done by the computer

Thanks for your help. The mechanic said he was trying to improve the power steering. It was stiff and he said that taking off from a dead stop at the lower RPM caused the power steering to be a little stiff.
