1999 ford Taurus car will stall out let it sit for an hour or so and restart it run fine then it will do it again replaced fuel filter still does it when it stalls out it will run for a second or two then shut off almost like its out of gas

Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

When it won't start, check to see what the fuel pressure is. An easy way to tell if it is a fuel supply problem is to see if it will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid.

Do one or the other and let me know what you find.
