1999 Ford Mustang car wont start

When I turn my key over none of my lights come on, on the dash it doesn't turn over I'm in the middle of getting a new battery but my moms 99eddie bower edition explore did the same thing an the explore didn't work

The first thing I would do is check the battery and make sure thw battery cables are cleanand tight.

We bought the new battery and checked all the fuses and wires and it still isnt turning over. All the lights come on but it just clicks
