1999 Ford F-350 Repair Question

Ford F-350 Body Problem
The truck seems like its in second gear when taking off and it shifts kind hard its a 7.3 diesel what could it be the service engine light is on but the od light is not blinking

have a trans guy scan this for codes it may be in limp mode, you may have a clutch /seal gone bad in it or valve body problem
