Do you have a check engine light an when was last tune-up?/

Check fuel pressure if its within specs if okay -clean out the IACV and EGR valve, also the MAF sensor-start here

Check for vacuum leaks and scan for codes.

TO RIVERMIKERAT I HAVE A 1999 FORD CONTOUR. CAN U TELL ME WHERE THE 2 HOSES GO ON THE CAMSHAFT OR THE FUEL INJECTOR. OR DO BOTH HOSES GO ON OR WHAT? DO U HAVE A DIAGRAM OF THE BACK AND FRNT ON HOW THE VANCUM SYSTEM GOES? THANK U LEXAR

Yes, Lexar, I do. See vacuum hose diagram attached.
As for the fuel injectors, they receive their fuel from a fuel rail. The fuel line from the tank hits a pressure regulator. From there, it splits, supply to the fuel rail, and return back to the tank.

I can't think of any hoses to the camshaft.
