1999 Dodge Durango White smoke hard to start

My durango is having a hard time starting in the mornings it shutters when it's trying to catch now there's white smoke coming out my mechanic is at his whits end and keeps telling me to get rid of it. What's wrong with it

First thing I would do is get the computer (OB2) scanned. This will make it easier to help in the diagnosis. Most auto part stores will do this for free. When you get the codes, write them down and let me know what they are. There are many problems that could create this symptom and without speculating for hours let's try this out first and I'll be happy to help you out in finding the problem.

No call so I know it's bad news they had it for 3 days I guess my question is just tell me don't hold it it just makes it worst I'm not rich but I no it's gonna cost me big uggghh

Well he called and said I need a tune-up to the tune of 342 dollars.
