I have a 1999 chrysler 300m. I have been having this issue with it for a couple weeks. Now it isn't constant and I have taken it to places and no one has found the problem. Today the check engine light also came on. When I am excellerating and get about 45 50 I have to have my foot all the way to the ground to get it to stay at the speed and has problems trying to go faster. There is also a very strong smell with that. After a few minutes it is like my car will kick back in and it will be perfectly normal. This problem also doesn't happen every day. The last time it happened was a week ago and it just did it again today. Any ideas on what it could be?

You need to have the omputer scanned when the check engine light comes on. The computer may still have a code stored. I would recommend have it scanned. Many parts stores will do it for free.
