P1860 Code

I have a P1860 code and my vehicle stops and stalls when I shift it to Drive, 3, 2, or 1. It runs and idle fine on park, neutral, or reverse and drives when it's on reverse, but when shifted to Drive, 3, 2, and/or 1 it dies. What is the problem and how can I fix it? How much would it cost if I took to a mechanic? Thank you!

Since my vehicle shuts off and stalls and cannot drive in the folling gears; Drive, 3, 2, and 1, do you think I need a new transmission? Is my transmission bad or is that because the P1860 code is on? Is the torque converter clutch pulse width modulation (TCC PWM) solenoid valve, the problem, not letting it to drive in those gears? Please, let me knoww! Thank You!

most likely, the trans will have to come out. the only way it wont is if a trans shop finds a wiring issue.

as far as price, you will be spending money, about 100-150 just for the diag and then the repair on top. trans work is never cheap.
