Changed oil pressure switch, oil pump gave oil change, my oil pressure is low and my check gauges light flashes once in a while, what is the oil pressure suppose to be on a 1999 chevy express mark iii hi-top conversion van with a 5.7 litre engine?

WELL SIR.....SOMETIMES EVEN NEW STUFF CAN BE BAD!....I SEE IT DAILY

IT MIGHT BE THE GAUGE ITSELF---OR THE WIRING TO IT

SOMETIMES THE AUTO PARTS GUY LOOKS UP THE WRONG PART---IT MIGHT EVEN LOOK JUST LIKE THE RIGHT ONE---EVEN A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT HAVING A GAUGE OR AN IDIOT LIGHT MIGHT GET YOU THE WRONG PART

MAY SOUND DUMBBUT I'VE SEEN PEOPLE CHANGE A SENSOR OR SENDER, THINKING THAT IT WAS ANOTHER........FED THE WRONG INFO BY "THEY" (SAID)

REGARDLESS....WHAT IS IMPORTANT AT THIS MOMENT IS, "DO WE HAVE OIL PRESSURE TO THE ENGINE?"........EVEN IF THE FACTORY GAUGES ARE ACTING UP?

SOMETIMES THE COMPUTER WILL GET YOU FLUSTERED----HAVE YOU BEEN JUMP-STARTED RECENTLY???

SEE THIS LINK.......KEEPS ME FROM HUNTING AND PECKING SO MUCH

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/1995-ford-thunderbird-lose-oil-pressure-times

AS FAR AS WHAT YOUR PRESSURE SHOULD BE (IT'S NOTHING LIKE MY JEEP IN THE ABOVE LINK)

.......ACCORDING TO "MITCHELL I" IT WILL VARY AT DIFFERENT RPMs.................SEE THE SCREENSHOT BELOW THAT I TOOK AND CROPPED (I HOPE IT POSTS "READABLE" AND NOT BLURRED)

USING A MECHANICAL GAUGE (MORE ACCURATE THAN AN ELECTRICAL GAUGE)) AND THE SCREENSHOT FOR "PRESSURES"---SEE IF THIS IS WHAT IS "ACTUALLY" GOING ON......IF SO, OIL PRESSURE IS "REALLY" OK.........THEN THE PROBLEM LIES SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE SENDER AND THE ORIGINAL GAUGE

THINK YOU CAN DO THIS TESTING?
