I have a 1999 2.2 cavalier drove to the store and it was runing good when i came back out it would not go into any gear when i went to put it in park it started grinding on the cabble that puts the trans in gear there is a sensor diretly under neath it co
It still rolls in park and only makes a grinding sound when putting it in. Park

sounds like possible shift cable slippage.
