Before starting, ignition key in the on position. I pulled the csi fuse in the under hood fuse box. Replaced fuse. Get trouble light to come on for a while then lose power to the ignition coil.

Should there be steady energy to the coil. In the ignition key run position, or does the computer send power to the coil, when it senses movement from the other senses.

computer sends energy to the ignition coil when key is in the on position, intermittently. After long period of time,

The voltage to the coil should go hot with the key on, and stay hot. The computer shouldn't have anything to do with the voltage. Ground could be another issue. Give me a second, I'll see if I can post a diagram.

Just to add, I didn't see the part about, ( starts and then shuts off). That could be an issue with security system?

The pink wire at the coil, goes hot with the key on. Gets voltage from ecm 1 fuse--20 amp. The ignition module controls the ground side of coil.

Are you sure the battery has a full charge? If the battery is down and you hit crank, you may lose voltage.
