1999 Cadillac Deville Repair Question

How do I know if I need new brake calipers?
I just took my 99 Deville to Pepboys and had rotors and pads put on the car. Would the mechanic tell me if I need new calipers? No one said anything and I'm wondering if I should have had them replaced also.

If calipers or not binding or leaking then they are not replaced. Is there a problem with brakes?
