For the most part, the car has sat since February 21, 2014, today is May 18th. Initially I started it every few days or so, then it sat a little longer and I had to re-charge it. In between then and now I have to jump start it. It is an 84 month Interstate Battery that is about 14 months old. I thought maybe I needed to drive it awhile to recharge the battery. So yesterday was the first drive about 12 minutes each way to buy some gas. Today I went to start it and nothing. How can I tell if it is a bad battery or an alternator?

The battery will need fully charged to check it. Also, if both the battery and the alternator check good, do this...

If there are no electrical draws or the alternator checks good but isn't charging the battery, you may have a bad fusible link.
