BMW 540i Abs Problem
There are a number of problems with this car. 1. battery is discharging when ignition is off. ABS lights are on all the time, i had sensors replaced and my mechanic is going to replace the abs module. On the 199 540i, there is a button on the signal light switch. this activates a display on the speedo, giving time, date, fuel economy etc. this isnt working any more. lastly i notice a sound like static when i turn the ignition off. sound like it is coming through the speakers even though the radio is off. there you have it. BMW electirical goblins... any suggestions thanks.

Dead battery could be the final stage unit for the fan. The switch in the stalk is suspect. Static from the diversity amplifier, tighten the ground connections, "C" pillar, drivers side, remove the finisher.
